The Episkyros’ coaches are smart, dynamic individuals who have played soccer at a highly competitive level, and, at the same time, are pursuing demanding scientific careers.

Coach Brian: Brian currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida, and is now a Physics PhD Candidate at UCF. Growing up in Brazil, Brian played soccer for the Sao Paulo youth academy rank 3 team. Oftentimes Brian would train with his brother who played for the rank 2 team in the same academy. Once Brian moved to the United States he payed varsity for his high school soccer team, while also taking various Advanced Placement courses. Unfortunately, an accident with his right knee forced him to abandon any thoughts for a career in pro-soccer.  During his undergraduate years Brian coached for Euro World Soccer Schools, where he often took various teams to compete in many tournaments.

Coach Megan: Megan is a graduating senior studying Neuroscience at the University of Central Florida. She grew up in Brevard county playing club soccer at Space Coast United for a number of years, both regional and state cup level. Megan graduated from Rockledge High School where she was on the varsity team for all four years. Her freshman year of college was spent playing NCAA Division II soccer at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. Alongside her transfer to UCF in Fall 2016, Megan also began to commute back to her home town and began to help train another local soccer program at Cocoa Junior/Senior High School. In 2017 she became the assistant girls varsity soccer coach where she remained until January 2019. Outside of soccer, Megan is heavily involved in UCF’s academic community. She conducts independent research, has presented at National Conferences, and was the president of her National Honor Society for transfer students.
